We're incredibly happy to already have awards in the field of VR games. UploadVR announced the winners for their 2016 Game of the Year campaign and we whole-heartedly agree with the results!

Here are the categories and winners in each of them:

Best Music/Sound Design: Thumper

Thumper is rhythm violence: classic rhythm-action, blistering speed, and brutal physicality. You are a space beetle. You brave the hellish void and confront a maniacal giant head from the future.

Best Art Direction: Bound

Bound is a dancing platformer art world on the PlayStation 4. It was created by a small Polish developer named Plastic with help from Sony’s Santa Monica Studios. It is a platformer, where you run and jump through a landscape, looking for a way forward. Here, though, through motion capture, the protagonist is a dancer who moves with grace, who not only does the running and jumping with beautiful agility, but also has a dancing button to move through tangles of vines, overgrowth of plants, and other obstacles.

Werewolves Within brings the fun of game night with friends to virtual reality. This is a fast-paced game of hidden roles and social deduction for 5-8 players.

KÀ The Battle Within is a gravity-defying VR saga of heroism and martial arts. DiRT Rally captures the essence of what makes Rally truly unique: that white-knuckle feeling of racing on the edge; trying to remain in control of your emotions as you hurtle along dangerous, undulating roads at breakneck speed, aiming to squeeze everything out of your car whilst knowing that one crash could irreparably harm your stage time.

Best Horror Game: A Chair in a Room: Greenwater

A Chair in a Room: Greenwater utilises the immersive power of Google Cardboard and your mobile device to create the experience of you being the protagonist of a horror film. Best Rift Game: The Unspoken

The Unspoken is an Oculus Touch‐enabled VR action game that pulls players into a hidden world of spellcasting and magicians’ duels. Manipulate the environment around you with the powerful arcane forces that flow through your fingertips, summon unfathomable monstrosities with your bare hands, and rise up through the ranks of an urban magic fight club.
